The Insurance Impact Investment Fund (IIIF) is a venture capital fund dedicated to early-stage startups in the insurance ecosystem in Africa. It was established to address a major funding gap in the continent’s insurance innovation ecosystem, where promising startups struggle to access capital despite growing demand for inclusive and climate-resilient insurance solutions.

3IF focuses on seed and pre-seed investments in InsurTech and adjacent sectors such as Health, Climate, Agriculture and data providers that enable insurance distribution and innovatove product design, such as parametric. The fund provides equity and SAFE instruments, complemented by a Technical Assistance (TA) facility.

Managed by Rift Partners, 3IF combines deep insurance expertise, strong industry networks, and access to blended finance from development partners. This allows the fund to bridge the gap between innovation and institutional capital, offering startups full lifecycle support from early validation to exit.

By aligning financial returns with measurable impact, 3IF aims to strengthen financial resilience, create jobs, and foster innovation in Africa’s insurance markets, ultimately making protection accessible to underserved client segments.
