Rift Partners, members of the ISFA 2025 Cohort, are celebrating an important milestone as they announced Turaco as the first investment of 3IF Ventures.
Turaco is an embedded insurance platform reaching more than 8 million people across 6 markets in Africa, and has recently expanded into its first Asian market, Pakistan.
The Turaco team has built its model around three core strengths: embedded distribution through partners such as ASA International, M-KOPA and Safaricom PLC; proprietary technology that enables more efficient underwriting and claims; and a focus on making insurance more accessible to low-income households through affordable, useful microinsurance.
It addresses the #3A_Challenge – Access, Affordability and Awareness – while building a business with significant potential to scale further.
